Job Description

Project Manager, Engineering
In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and leading company resources to execute NPI customer-focused programs from kick off, through design phase to release to production. Project Managers support multiple integrated products that include Power Amplifiers, Switches, Filters, SiP’s. Our PMs lead multiple cross-functional development teams incorporating and coordinating people from multiple Engineering and operational teams.  The team goal is to meet customer specification compliance, cost targets, critical milestones, and prototype delivery schedules. You will develop detailed project schedules and present project-critical updates to Skyworks Management with regards to status, issues, and actions.

Our Project Managers also develop innovative solutions to address priorities and conflicts with other programs to ensure the schedule is met. You will help to ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical functions. This key individual coordinates schedules, manages risk, monitors budgets and assigns tasks while managing multiple program priorities. You understand the importance of keeping management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.  Project Managers analyze overall projects to identify potential roadblocks and strategize to align with business goals, deadlines and resource coordination to ensure we achieve focused results.
 
Responsibilities
• Chairing weekly development team meetings across a multi-functional group
• Resolving technical issues to ensure product compliance / robustness against specs (customer & internal)
• Driving critical path schedule tasks and risk mitigation plans
• Supporting customer interaction alongside Product Line Management, Marketing, Customer Quality, etc.
• Compliance to our product development process through internal / external audits
• Presentations to senior management and other functional leads within the BU / Operations / Quality
• Demonstrated track record of product development
• Flexible approach and ability to influence and motivate others
 
Requirements:
• BSEE, MSEE, MBA, or other related education in a technical discipline preferred with 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in an NPI environment 
• Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and strong retention skills for critical information
• Demonstrated leadership skills specifically working in a matrixed organization
• Team Player with a passion to win/contribute and have a results-focused attitude and approach to the position
• Ability to collaborate with other team members to establish efficient systems of operation.
• Strong knowledge of MS Tools, including but not limited to Project, PowerPoint, and Excelm
• Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Planview PPM Pro or Oracle’s Agile PLM software is a plus

 

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600$167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
