Summary

 

In this summer intern position, you will create data-driven and user-friendly solutions supporting Sales, Marketing and Strategic Business Planning leveraging Skyworks’ business intelligence systems.  Your work will require interaction with many different groups across the organization.  The resulting impact of your work should help increase the efficiency of our business processes and improve the accuracy of our revenue forecasting and reporting processes. You will work with custom solutions, established software systems, and external data to produce the optimal answer to questions posed by people at all levels within Skyworks.  The ideal candidate has an eye for efficiency, an ease of communication, and a knack for productivity, and will easily use all of these to make a positive impact at Skyworks. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Knowledge of Standard Business Terms and Processes

  • Create Reports to Support basic Business requirements

  • Support Management Teams with Reporting Dashboards for Key Functions including Pricing, Costs, and Revenue Management

  • Assist Sales, Marketing and Business Units with categorization of products using system tools

  • Develop and Manage Data Integrity Solutions that Provide Constant Checks, Resolution, and Process Enhancement for Master Data and Financial Metrics.

  • Manage and Maintain Customer and Material Attributes to Continuously Align with Business Structure and Priorities

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

 

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal, with technical resources as well as non-technical users and management

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated by cross-functional projects

  • Familiar with Business Processes within a High-Volume Manufacturing Environment

  • Comfortable working on a diverse, multi-site team

  • Demonstrated understanding of Pricing and Cost Structures and their impact on the P&L

  • Experience creating reports in Business Intelligence Systems (Power BI/Tableau preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or a relevant field

Preferred Skills

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric System (e.g., Power Apps, Power Query, Power BI; including DAX)

  • Experience with data modeling and data analytics, preferably with knowledge of SQL,  Alteryx, Knime or similar data ETL tools

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
