Sr. Test Engineer

The individual chosen for this position will be a member of an engineering team responsible for Characterizing RF Devices in a laboratory. This individual will be executing RF test plans to prove device performance. The engineer will process data and prepare characterization reports. She/He will troubleshoot and run setup validation tests to guarantee Accuracy and Repeatability. The successful candidate will be an effective problem solver and a proactive process owner.

Job Summary

Support in characterization of device performance.
Analyze test data and prepare characterization report.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test projects.
Develop new techniques to streamline characterization process.
Develop Test Data Processing Scripts.
Validate Setups by Comparing setup performance to a standard.
Troubleshoot RF Test setups to keep the Production Flowing.
Create and adhere to schedules.

Job Requirements

BS degree and 5+ years of experience in RF component testing.
Familiar with common programming languages such as visual, C++, LabView and python, and experience with databases such as SQL and MySQL.
Proficient with test equipment including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters.
Knowledgeable in RF Test. Testing includes s-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, TOI, DEVM and harmonics to mention some.
Knowledgeable in GPIB, IEEE 488.2, serial communications.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Operate independently with minimal supervision.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600$167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
