Supervisor 1, Operations

 

 

 

 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Directs and coordinates multiple operations in both Powders and Ingots required in the production of powder and thermal barrier ingots. Specific areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to, custom ceramic dielectric powder production, thermal barrier ingot production, assist with process engineering.

  1. Manage Production of Dielectric Powders. Work with manager, planner and employees to produce custom ceramic powders through the full range of powder processing tasks while providing leadership and support to the Powder Processors, will regularly interact with managerial personnel and engineers for special instructions and provide feedback for ongoing process tasks and will interact with his shift operators to insure that processes are performed in accordance to written and verbal instructions. He will be responsible for administrative tasks reporting to his manager. Will employ management skills to assure quality standards are met. Will spend 50% of his time in Powders Processing
  2. Manage Production of Thermal Barrier Ingots. Will work with manager, planner and operators to produce custom ceramic ingots through a variety of processing tasks. Will interact with managerial personnel and engineers to insure that processes are performed in accordance to written and verbal instructions.  Will interact with sales personnel to assure all production plans are met and will work consistently to increase production rates. Will assure all processing parameters, non-standard observations and measurement results are recorded and reported to engineering staff. Will employ management skills to assure quality standards are met He will spend 50% of his  time in the Ingot area.
  3. In both areas of responsibility daily decisions will be required to assure processing techniques are adhered to to produce product meeting or exceeding product. Decisions will have a significant impact on financial liability of the company. Will make decisions in conjunction with his manager, planner, engineer and sales. Will work with the process engineer to analyze and interpret data. Will also work with process engineers to improve process techniques and methods.
