Analog IC Design Intern/Co-Op
If you are a motivated student with skills and interest deploying AI techniques to RF/analog integrated circuit (IC) design, Skyworks’ San Jose is looking for you! As a home to a seasoned team of analog and RF professionals, you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones. San Jose and San Francisco bay area are the technology capital of the world but also have ample opportunities for enjoying nature, world-class music, and a vibrant sports landscape.
Get your foot in the door to analog/RF IC design for cellular phones using agentic AI in one of the most cutting-edge and impactful industries connecting people across the globe. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI systems and circuit design, contributing to next-generation design automation tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply agentic AI models to assist analog and RF circuit design tasks including topology selection
- Implement simulation and verification methodologies leveraging AI agents for iterative design refinement.
- Analyze large datasets from circuit simulations to train and validate AI predictive models
- Document methodologies and present findings to cross-functional teams
Required Experience and Skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program studying Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Exposure to reinforcement learning or agent-based AI systems
- Completed coursework in analog design
- Skilled in Python coding
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
