Summary

 

Skyworks Solutions is seeking talented interns for the development of new high frequency BAW filter modules. 

The selected individual will join the BAW technology team focused on the design, development and delivery of next generation BAW filter technology to Skyworks’ WiFi customers.

The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies and technology assessments to deliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development

Responsibilities

 

  • Work activities include: mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters and their trade offs

  • Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well organized format or design review

  • Tape out new filter design

  • EM simulations as necessary

Requirements

 

  • University student, currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD Program in the field of acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields)

  • Must be able and available to work starting Spring 2023 (March 2023)

  • Strong understanding of BAW device physics is a plus

  • Good understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques is also a plus

  • Periodic online meetings with our international team is a requirement

Desirable Knowledge/Skills

 

  • Familiarity with ADS, Cadence, or similar simulation tools.

  • Basic knowledge of RF/ microwave theory

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic

  • Must be willing to work in a hands-on environment

  • Must have strong time management skills

  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skills

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
