Summary

 

The Diversified Analog Solutions team located in Andover, MA is home to our design center for WLAN applications and has a challenging opportunity for an University Student available for a 6 month work term (June - December 2023). The successful candidate will report to a senior engineering mentor assigned to them. The RF Design Engineer Summer/Fall Co-Op student will work closely with a group of PA and LNA design mentors in development of ICs and modules that have stand-alone or integrated PA cores, LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, bias controller, and various RF functional blocks for WLAN applications.

Responsibilities

 

  • The candidate will support RF test evaluation of RFIC's and multichip modules. 

  • Require strong background in RF and Microwave design. Knowledgeable in RF testing and RF equipment setup. 

  • The candidate will also be involved in design evaluation, simulation and debugging of RF circuits.

  • Assisting full time engineering group members with their project assignments.

  • Completion of a small silicon or GaAs ASIC design project.

Requirements

 

  • Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. academic program (Electrical Engineering or related)

  • Successful completion of graduate courses with design projects to RF PA, and/or LNA design.

  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.

  • Familiarity with design tools like ADS, Cadence, HFSS etc.

  • Working experience with RF Test Equipment (e.g. Signal Generators, Network Analyzer, RF Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
