Responsibilities

 

The candidate will have the following job responsibilities:

 

  • Simulating/validating performance across supply, temperature and frequency

  • Block-level design and simulation to understand the circuits that are being measured and correlating measurements with simulation

  • Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and presenting results summary

  • Tuning RF front end modules in the lab, including impedance matching.

  • Evaluating RF parameters like Small Signal, DEVM, IP3, NF, Settling Time, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an MS program studying Electrical Engineering.

  • Must be available to work onsite for the Summer/Fall 2023 Semester.

  • Must have completed at least one RF/Microwave Electronics courseExperience presenting materials for design/data review. 

  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skill.

  •  Knowledgeable in the use of a Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Generator, Power Meter, Oscilloscope. 

  • Desirable knowledge/experience includes familiarity with Agilent ADS and/or Cadence Spectre/RF simulation tools, Cadence Virtuoso IC Layout, Momentum/Sonnet/HFSS EM simulation tools, SPICE

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
