Job Description


The Role:  

Join our enthusiastic, collaborative timing customer applications engineering team. Our team is focused on helping customers design in timing jitter attenuator/network synchronization products that are designed into high-speed, high-performance clock designs. We work closely with world-wide customers and various internal teams such as marketing, systems/design, quality and test to ensure our products are well understood and designed-in successfully.  We are committed to doing the right thing and passionate about helping our customers solve timing problems by understanding their use-cases and end applications. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with exceptional communication skills who are comfortable explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences to help the team achieve our internal metrics and goals while having a positive impact to the business. The end applications of our products typically require high performance (low noise/low jitter) clocking solutions and are critical to the success of the end-system.  Engineers in this position will become familiar with both the practical and theoretical aspects of PLL functionality, noise transfer functions, broadband PCB signal integrity for high speed serial links, general analog circuit analysis in time/frequency domains, along with extensive experience in operating lab instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum and phase noise analyzers.


This position can be based in Nashua, NH / Austin, TX / Ottawa, Canada. 



•  Provide technical assistance to customers. Assist sales team with technical specifications of our devices driving design-in activities. As the technical expert you will assist customers/sales with device level, hardware and system level questions.

• Design, debug, and document demonstration/evaluation boards.  

• Validate technical details of specific use case scenarios ensuring device firmware, hardware and ClockBuilder Pro software meets the expected end performance.  
• Debug, test, document and share results of enhanced features in existing or future products. 

• Develop launch collateral for new products such as compliance testing reports, reference testing recommendations, reference manual materials, and FAQ documents. 

•Write application notes or shorter technical notes on topics relevant to features of the products or challenges of interest to end customers. 




• 10+ years work experience with a BS/MS in electrical, computer or systems design engineering  

• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies, logical thinking. 
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.  
• Previous course work and experience in control systems, signals and systems, analog circuits.  
• System analysis skills, and ability to see the bigger picture.  
• Excellent ability to ask the right questions to troubleshoot circuits, and other hardware

• Strong customer interface interpersonal skills.  
• Meticulous technical documentation authoring and editing skills.  
• Knowledge of software programming tools (Visual Studio, Python or other scripting languages). 

• Must be comfortable working on challenging problems while being capable of prioritizing and organizing tasks. 

• Driven to meet deadlines while held accountable to high quality standards. 

• Positive attitude with strong desire for customer and team success to maintain our winning culture.
