Job Description

Skyworks Design Enablement Team is looking for talented and creative individuals to develop integrated and robust technology solutions that enable global collaboration and development for Skyworks RF and Analog/Mixed Signal product design teams. We are specifically looking for people who not only enjoy problem-solving, but want to go beyond that and take us to the next level in our global design environment. As part of this elite team, you will enjoy an eco-system that allows you to work directly with EDA partners, foundry partners, and internal customers to benchmark, develop and improve design flows and tools. You will also enjoy a people-oriented environment as you work with other experts in RF, Analog, Mixed Signal, and Digital CMOS to advance our capabilities.

 

The design automation engineer will be responsible to improve and support the tailored design environment, RF, Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Digital flows. The main responsibilities are:

  • Maintain and support analog, digital, and mixed-signal simulation flows
  • Support infrastructure and automotive design teams
  • Customize EDA Tools to support Skywork's tailored design flow
  • Automate utilities into Skyworks design flows to improve productivity
  • Provide EDA tools and simulation flows training to design teams

 

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in EE or Computer Engineering with experience in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) is preferred  
  • Proficient with UNIX/Linux and familiar with programming languages such as PERL, Python, TCL, and Unix Shell Scripting.  With a focus on Python
  • Knowledge of Cadence SKILL scripting
  • Should have good interpersonal communication, and problems solving skills
  • Should be able to work both independently and as a team member

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $122,000$231,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
