Job Description

Reliability Sr. Principal Engineer

The Reliability Engineer’s primary responsibilities are developing qualification readiness for Product, Package and Process Qualifications, as well as qualification support. Extensive knowledge of JEDEC and AEC qualification standards is required.

Primary Responsibilities: 
•    Qualification Readiness consists of:
        Attend planning meetings to prepare for qualifications.
        Design and configuration of HTOL boards and ovens.
    Including modification of HTOL systems.
        Design and configuration of HAST boards.
        Specify and select sockets for HTOL and HAST boards.
    Aid in the development of new vendors as needed.
•    Qualification Readiness and technician training for:
        Design and configuration of HTOL boards and ovens.
        Design and configuration of HAST boards.
•    In conjunction with Product Engineering and/or Design Engineering generate HTOL conditions.
•    Ensure qualifications are performed per the qualification plans and meet the JEDEC or AEC stress conditions.
•    Update qualification readiness status to managers and product engineers.
•    Create HTOL setup spreadsheets as a guide to technicians starting HTOL. Includes clear written instructions on stimulus and modes.
•    Provide HTOL technical support for HTOL and HAST setups in the reliability lab.
•    Provide support for equipment repair and calibration.

Secondary Responsibilities: 
•    Support reliability engineers developing qualification plans, reports, and planning as needed:
    Develop qualification plans per the qualification standards.
    Submit qualification plans for approval. 
    Analyze post stress ATE data and determine failures.
    Review failures with product engineering or design engineering.
    Submit qualification failures to failure analysis and report failure analysis results.
    Write qualification reports.
    Submit qualification reports for approval.

Job Requirements
•    BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 15 years reliability experience.
        Or MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 12 years reliability experience.
        Or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 8 years reliability experience.
•    Excellent written communication skills and organizational skills are essential.
•    Experience in mixed signal design, ATE testing, qualification experience, or is preferred. 

•    Experience with Microsoft Office software is required.
•    Experience with burn-in, HAST, and other environmental testing is required.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $136,800$271,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
