The Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Applications Staff Software Engineer who is passionate about making our customers wildly successful, welcomes challenges with enthusiasm and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, to become an integral part of our automotive radio applications team. The Applications Staff Software Engineer will work with internal and external stakeholders to define, develop, and support the software necessary for customers integrating Skyworks’ automotive radio solutions.

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 10 years of prior experience in directly related fields, or a Master’s degree with 8 years of prior experience.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role requires active collaboration with our cross-functional teams and customers, so this is a critical skill.
  • Experience with the use and automation of laboratory test equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with customers to develop and debug complicated software projects
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Visual Studio and .NET -preferred-, C#, etc.).
  • Experience in SQL database and a great attitude with an eagerness to learn and facility to adapt to changes in plans and schedules.
  • Background in one or more of the following a plus
    • Automotive infotainment software; radio management and audio processing
    • Embedded linux/android auto
    • Automotive software standards and compliance
