Director, Product Engineering

We are looking for a seasoned technical leader with experience in delivering large-scale, RF solutions within the semiconductor industry. This is an opportunity to lead diverse audio technology deployments across a wide array of industry and customers.  The Director of Product Engineering will be a senior member of the team responsible for leading the development and deployment of solutions that will help shape the semiconductor industry now and into the future. Reporting to the Vice President of Product and Test engineering, the Director will work closely with other senior stakeholders including Product and Program Management, Finance, Operations, and Business Development to drive customer and business value from the Company’s unique market position. They will direct strategic solution roadmaps, and ensure a KPI/Metric Driven approach

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, passionate leader with a full-stack technical background skilled at solving complex challenges by bringing together people, technology, strategy, and innovative technical design. He/she should have a strong business acumen, solid audio technology experience, in addition to possessing excellent team, vender and customer management skills.

We are looking for someone with a vision for data tools and analytic, has a Quality mindset enabling vision to tool/process improvements, in depth knowledge of semi-conductor audio solutions, experience in both final test ATE solutions and wafer probe development.  In this role the successful candidate will lead and develop a high end Product team with in depth knowledge of Audio products. 

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities
• This position involves setting multi-year development and program strategies with senior management in addition to cross-org coordination and relationship management.
• Work with leadership to build and manage a team of technical leaders focused on innovation and data driven platform solutions
• Strong Audio systems engineering team management including full time employees and onshore and offshore vendor management
• Provides Insight into Customer issues and troubleshooting of parts by deep understanding of the ecosystem
• As a seasoned leader and technical expert, stay abreast of the latest advances in audio systems and technical innovation
• Identify new technical strategies for staying one step ahead of the competition
• Prepare research, communication materials and presentations for the senior leadership detailing operational performance, KPIs and investment needs

Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ years experience, Product and Test engineering
• Strong background in  Audio Product Engineering and Test Development
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.  MS preferred
• 5+ years of experience managing Product Engineering teams. 
• Ability to work across geographic boundaries.  Global experience a plus. 
• 5+ years of experience taking complex projects and leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects from initial concept through final launch on tight deadlines
• 5+ years experience with employee development, performance management and delivering results
• Strong cultural and team leadership skills
• Capable of having strategic conversations at the executive level and technical discussions across teams to ensure a proper vision and our ability to execute
• Creative problem-solver with ability to look beyond existing business and technology limitations to identify the “next thing”
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical aptitude and curiosity to develop deep domain expertise
• Advanced degree in Engineering or other technology-related fields
• MBA or MFin
