Your Role

We are a passionate and dedicated team of world-class analog, mixed-signal and digital designers committed to building the next generation of ASoCs. This position is for an experienced and equally passionate analog designer/leader interested in excellent personal and professional growth opportunities.
Your role:
You will work with a dedicated team on the implementation, including architecture, modelling, design, simulation and characterization, of building blocks and subsystems of RF transceivers to be included on sub-45nm CMOS SOCs.  Working with digital and firmware architects, you will apply system and circuit expertise to meet block specifications for radio performance, power consumption, and system features.  You may need to invent new approaches to solving design problems.  You will model and simulate the blocks and develop pre- and post-silicon verification suites.  You will work with layout designers to guide and optimize their implementation of your blocks.  You will plan and implement post-silicon characterization, and work with production test engineers to develop efficient manufacturing tests. 

This position requires an individual skilled in making architectural and circuit implementation decisions

You will interface with other engineering teams within the business unit, including your digital and firmware design counterparts for SOCs.

Flawless execution, with a sense of urgency is key, but also to be an “out of the box” thinker, to find innovative solutions to our customer’s problems

Your Role

• Proven track record of exceptional performance analog /RFand mixed-signal system and circuit design, with a special emphasis on clock generation, power conversion and power system design.
• 12+ years (BSEE), 10+ years (MSEE) or 6+ years (PhD) of relevant industry experience
• Solid foundation in RF theory and transceiver architectures, including for Bluetooth and WiFi
• Strong awareness of competing solutions and commercial challenges
• Experience in system-level modeling and simulation in Virtuoso AMS, Matlab, VerilogA, ADS, etc.
• Experience in producing detailed technical specifications, reports and documentation
• Experience in RC and crystal oscillator design, clock generation PLLs, DC-DC converters, battery monitors and chargers, always-on systems
• Competent in the Cadence design environment, laboratory methodologies and analog layout methodologies
• Professional, open and highly self-motivated attitude
