The desired individual will lead the technical aspects of product roadmap definition, technology selection, and design implementation. The individual will manage a team responsible for implementing the overall system architecture, designing transistor-level analog circuit blocks, simulating sub-system performance, creating and using behavioral models of blocks and the entire IC, doing and/or supervising physical layout, verifying circuit and chip-level operation and performance, and assisting with tape-out related activities. Responsibilities will also include detailed documentation, silicon evaluation and debugging, production test development support, customer support, and other activities as required to achieve high volume production.
Responsibilities
- Management of an IC Design group in the Analog/Power IC Design group
- Work with other managers in the Design Group and Marketing Group to plan roadmaps and next generation products
- Coordinate team meeting logistics to ensure efficient communication, learning and collaboration
- Set the technical standard for the architecture, design, layout and verification of circuits, systems, algorithms, etc. to meet product requirements
- Develop innovative new designs for patenting or protecting as trade secrets
- Manage and mentor design engineers in the group
- Participate and contribute to product definition
- Balance innovation with execution: to ensure that the projects are delivered in a timely manner
- Demonstrate good judgment in solving a broad range of issues, based on an advanced understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
