About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager II to lead one or more Analog and Mixed‑Signal IC Design teams. This role combines deep technical leadership with people management and execution ownership. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality silicon while growing talent, shaping design direction, and partnering across the organization to bring complex products to market.
This position is ideal for a seasoned analog IC designer who has successfully transitioned into people leadership and thrives at the intersection of technical depth, execution, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams of senior analog and mixed‑signal IC designers
- Own technical direction, design quality, and execution for complex IC programs
- Guide teams through architecture definition, design reviews, verification, and silicon bring‑up
- Translate system and product requirements into robust analog architectures
- Drive delivery across multiple milestones while balancing schedule, quality, and silicon risk
- Mentor engineers and managers, supporting both technical excellence and career growth
- Partner closely with product, systems, digital design, physical design, validation, and manufacturing teams
- Influence longer‑term technology and IP roadmaps
Required Experience and Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
(Master’s or PhD preferred) - Typically 10–15+ years of IC design experience
- 8+ years focused on analog or mixed‑signal design
- 3+ years in engineering leadership or people management roles
Technical Expertise
- Deep experience in analog IC design, with multiple successful production tape‑outs
- Strong knowledge of analog building blocks such as:
- Voltage/current references, regulators, LDOs
- LNA's, Mixers, Amplifiers, comparators, and data converters
- PLLs, clocking, or interface‑adjacent analog circuits
- Proven ability to define and evaluate analog and mixed‑signal architectures
- Solid understanding of mixed‑signal integration challenges (noise, isolation, power integrity)
- Familiarity with layout tradeoffs and analog verification methodologies (corners, Monte Carlo, aging)
Leadership & Execution
- Experience managing senior IC designers and/or first‑line managers
- Demonstrated success in:
- Hiring, coaching, and retaining top engineering talent
- Performance management and career development
- Driving accountability and engineering rigor
- Strong program ownership skills, including planning, risk management, and cross‑team coordination
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and leadership
Track record of delivering high‑quality silicon into production
Desired Experience and Skills

- Experience managing managers‑of‑managers
- Background in high‑volume or reliability‑critical products
- History of improving design methodologies, reusable IP, or development processes
- Exposure to multiple process nodes or product generations
