Staff Analog Design Engineer

We are a passionate and dedicated team of world-class analog, mixed-signal and digital design and verification engineers committed to building the next generation of SOCs. This position is for an experienced and equally passionate analog and mixed-signal engineer interested in excellent personal and professional growth opportunities.

Your role:

You will:

  • Bring state of the art Analog and Mixed Signal IP and products to market.
  • Provide guidance and oversee design and verification, systems, algorithms, etc. to meet product requirements. 
  • Interface with Analog and Digital, RF, DV engineers and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

 

Your profile:

  • 8+ years (BSEE), 6+ years (MSEE), or 3+ years (PhD) of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in developing state-of-the-art Analog and Mixed signal circuits for complex SOC platforms in multiple cutting-edge processes
  • Proven track record of bringing advanced low noise and ultra-low power IP, technology, and products to market
  • Knowledge of Delta Sigma ADCs/DACs, Class D/AB headphone and speaker drivers, Amplifiers, PMU and Switching regulators
  • Knowledge of device physics, CMOS fabrication processes, layout tradeoffs for high performance circuits
  • Hands on experience with SOC debug, validation, characterization, test techniques and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
  • Ability to be a technical anchor and mentor for team members
  • Good communication skills, be able to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills

Ideally you are also experienced in:

  • Audio performance concepts (SNR, THD, SINAD, DR, etc.)
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces (SPI, I2S, PDM, PWM, USB, etc.)
  • Laboratory measurement skills for Audio and wireless SOCs (analog, RF-as req.)
  • Knowledge of scripting language (python, shell, skill)
  • Professional, open, and highly self-motivated attitude

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600$210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
