RF Design & Testing Co-Op 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist design engineers with circuit design and simulation tasks
  • Assist engineers with RF substrate and printed circuit board layouts
  • Assemble and tune RF devices for specified performance
  • Conduct RF measurements
  • Write Test code for automated testing
  • Write test reports with summary and conclusions. Highlighting any test failures or discrepancies and mainta proper test records
  • Assist Test engineers with performance correlation, and characterization testing
  • Adhere to established test procedures, and lab rules.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD (preferred) program in Electrical Engineering with main courses related to RF/Microwaves.
  • We will not consider candidates who've already graduated
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate Electrical and/or RF circuit course.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, Word, and Power Point.
  • Familiarity with common lab tools (e.g. soldering iron, Volt meters, Oscilloscope, etc.)

     

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferred successful completion of graduate courses with project related to RF PA, or LNA design.
  • Knowledge of RF simulation programs, e.g. ADS, AWR, etc.
  • Knowledge of Engineering software, e.g. Matlab, Simulink, Labview, etc.
  • Knowledge of RF circuit layout programs, e.g. Cadence, APD, Orcad etc.
  • Working experience with printed circuit boards assemble and component soldering.
  • Preferred working experience with electrical and high frequency (i.e. 50 MHz to 5 GHz) measurements
