Job Description
The Customer Quality Engineer will be working within the Skyworks Customer Quality organization in a technical program management role. You will be involved with many aspects of a multi-faceted, year-long risk assessment activity, as Skyworks prepares to launch a portfolio of new products into high-volume production every year. This role includes the opportunity to interact with technologists in multiple Skyworks locations, both in the US and internationally, as well as with key suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Prior to product launch, you will work closely with key customers, the product development team, and manufacturing to surface potential issues early to insure stable/high-quality devices during high-volume manufacturing.
- During high-volume production, you will quickly resolve customer issues by leading a cross-functional technical team to determine containment, root cause, and corrective actions. You will be interacting with key customers to fully understand the customer’s complaints and provide regular status.
- Support new products, supplier, processes, & technology introduction & risk assessment in the Skyworks Customer Quality organization
- Identify risk mitigation triggers and implement them in production to achieve a clean launch of new products
- Track new technology development in areas including wafer foundry, back-end wafer processing, package assembly, and electrical test
- You will travel to customer or manufacturing sites for proactive risk mitigation or crisis resolution.
- Coordinate with various supplier management teams in reviewing supplier process data on new products
- Monitor product reliability testing and results
- Support Product Change Notification process both internally and with customers
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or similar). Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Semiconductor experience in the areas of Customer Quality Engineering or Product Engineering, RFFE Product Design & Test Engineering.
- You can effectively interface with all levels of the organization including the executive level as well as customers.
- Candidate should be detail-oriented, with good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with statistical data analysis recommended

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $108,500 - $206,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
