PDK / Design Automation Principal Engineer

Skyworks Design Enablement/PDK Team is looking for talented and creative individuals to develop integrated and robust technology solutions that enable global collaboration and development for Skyworks RF and Analog/Mixed Signal product design teams.  We are specifically looking for people who not only enjoy problem solving, but want to go beyond that, and take us to the next level in our global design environment.  As part of this elite team you will enjoy an eco-system that allows you to work directly with EDA partners, foundry partners, and internal customers to benchmark, develop and improve design flows, tools, Design Kits and IP.   You will also enjoy a people-oriented environment as you work with other experts in RF, Analog, Mixed Signal and Digital CMOS to advance our capabilities.

Job Description

Design automation engineer will be responsible to improve and support the external and internal customized PDK. The main responsibilities are:

  • Enhance and customize foundry rule decks: DRC and LVS
  • Implement and maintain Customized Antenna, ERC, DFM, PERC and CSP rule files
  • Provide physical verification support to newly acquired infrastructure and automotive design teams
  • Provide design kits, design flows and physical verification training to design teams


Job Requirements

  • M.S. in EE and Computer Engineering with 5+ year experience is required
  • Experience with Mentor Calibre and Cadence DFII is a must
  • Knowledge of CMOS/BiCMOS and SOI process technologies and mask layout design
  • Proficient with Calibre SVRF syntax to implement verification rule checks
  • Proficiency in Cadence SKILL programming
  • Experience with foundry design kits is a plus
  • Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated with excellent team spirit, strong ownership and openness
