Job Description


NTI Director, Wafer Foundry Engineering


The individual in this leadership position is expected to fulfill a broad range of responsibilities related to wafer technology definition, risk assessment/mitigation and on-boarding.  Additional responsibility includes managing a small group of technologists responsible for new technology introduction (NTI). 




  1. Collaborate with design leads to understand gaps in existing wafer technology portfolio. 
  2. Identify solutions that meet Performance, Quality, Cost and Capacity requirements.
  3. Work closely with foundry partners to perform thorough risk assessment and implement preventive measures prior to technology ramp
  4. Roll-out new technologies by working with design enablement, Quality and Reliability, Product Engineering
  5. Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives
  6. Manage a group of NTI engineers with expertise in SOI, SiGe BiCMOS, analog and RFCMOS.


Education: Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or similar disciplines


Experience and Skills:


  • 15+ years in Semiconductor industry; hands-on experience in RF technologies as as sub-45nm CMOS is highly desirable
  • Experience in working with wafer foundries
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, including executive management and customers
