Job Summary
The Director of Enterprise IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the global computing environment, which includes server, storage, backup, cloud, directory services, messaging, and collaboration teams. The Skyworks Enterprise IT Infrastructure is a global service, with a global team that provides 24 x 7 x 365 infrastructure services and operations in support of Skyworks business objectives and goals. The position requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to support Skyworks Solutions.
The successful candidate will manage the Global Server and Cloud operations and infrastructure team, reporting to the Senior Director of Global IT Infrastructure. The Director will also manage, coach and mentor global infrastructure team members and foster a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
• Lead the evolution of a multi-cloud strategy that aligns with the business, manufacturing and engineering goals of the company
• Forge partnerships with cross-functional global teams to determine forward-looking strategies for the infrastructure team
• Lead all infrastructure requirements for mergers and acquisitions, develop and seamlessly execute integration strategies
• Develop, manage, and track the global infrastructure team’s annual budget
• Consult senior-level stakeholders across the organization to identify business and technology needs and optimize the use of information technology
• Translate corporate objectives into quantifiable IT plans with clear project plans and timelines
• Motivate team to embrace best practices and support transformation via a robust project management approach
• Develop annual server and storage infrastructure operations vision, goals and objectives
• Work closely with the Cyber Security Team to maintain compliant and secure systems and processes
• Monitor and analyze the impact of new technology on existing and future capacity and provide advice and guidance on appropriate technological solutions
• Develop, maintain and implement a proactive capacity planning model to support business decisions
• Coordinate all infrastructure changes with appropriate teams to ensure uninterrupted service
• Acknowledge and resolve business, user, and system-generated production issues for assigned infrastructure within established service levels
• Maintain documentation for all operational/support processes and automate repetitive processes where appropriate
• Participate in strategic planning, tactical operation planning, and contingency operation planning for supported systems and environments
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external technology partners to prioritize, estimate and complete projects in support of business
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud, including Cloud FinOps.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, certifications or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 15 year’s experience delivering and managing technology services on a global scale
• Expert level understanding of Windows operating systems, modern compute/storage platforms (including hyper converged solutions), DNS, networking, and Active Directory and roles based access control (RBAC)
• Intermediate understanding and experience with Cloud solutions, including FinOps
• Experience in the semiconductor design and manufacturing industry is a strong advantage
• Strong experience with M&A and systems integration projects
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including non-technical audiences
• Must be thorough and detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Self-directing individual demonstrating teamwork, organization skills and well-structured working approach given multiple priorities
• Experience working with cross-functional and matrixed teams
• Proven history converting complex business processes into simplified system designs
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple activities simultaneously
• Ability to use a wide degree of creativity and latitude to think differently, challenge conventional wisdom, and drive best practices

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $139,100 - $278,300 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
