Job Description
This position is for a Co-Op student interested in learning RF Technician skills in a state of the art semiconductor laboratory. The intern will be involved in various aspects of supporting RF characterization testing.
Responsibilities
- Operating automated benches, running automated calibration routines, performing basic manual RF tests.
- Review test results with engineers, make modification of prototypes and retest until performance meets specifications.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a current student pursuing bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge and hands on experience with RF test equipment: multi-meter, Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies.
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals: S-parameter, smith chart, impedance matching, NF, P1dB, IP3.
- Ability to understand schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with MS-Office and Windows OS.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong skills in data analytics to control equipment -- programming & scripting – preferred.
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
