RF Technician

Job Summary: As an RF technician, you'll eport directly to lab manager and will perform daily activities in support of three RF design laboratories.  Tasks will range from data logging, mechanical assembly, and RF testing.  RF Technician will be responsible for running test bench verification tests at set intervals.  RF Technician will also assist in the creation of technical procedures for verification tests.  RF Technician will be setting up test benches when required.  Will be responsible for handling the movement and scheduling of equipment calibration and maintaining equipment information in tracking software.  Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Daily/IATF Compliance –
•Run bench verification tests at a set interval to comply with new IATF standards.  Maintain results on the server as well as in GagePack
•Help develop procedures for bench verification tests, maintain procedures
•Assist with various support/maintenance tasks throughout three DRx laboratories
•Perform and maintain ESD test and logs.  Daily monitoring of humidity
•Help implement new equipment tracking methods in GagePack, maintain equipment locations in GagePack
•Handle movement of equipment for Calibration and repair

As Required/Periodic/IATF Compliance –
•Set up new test stations as required and perform calibration
•Assist in required bench setup activities in DRx Packaging lab
•Support engineers with data collection when available
•Train other test techs on probe station responsibilities
•Support lab in reworking tasks (parts installation, soldering, build harnesses)

 

Job Qualifications:

Must have –
•Thorough understanding of RF measurements
•Hands on experience with various RF Test equipment ( Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer)
•Proficient in troubleshooting bench level issues
•Ability to understand block diagrams/schematics
•Proficiency in calibrating RF equipment
•Must be able to work with hand tools
•Proficient with excel and word
•Excellent communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•Excellent organizational skills


Nice to have –
•Understand automation code (c++, python)
•BS degree
