As our new Senior DevOps Engineer, you will assist on large and small projects independently.  A successful candidate will have technical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and concepts in the DevOps toolchain.  You will work closely with fellow Engineers to help deploy and operate different DevOps flows. This role will be key to transforming the company’s operations and processes through automation and deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.

 

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Operate critical infrastructure and builder tools such as GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins in a highly available fashion
  • Closely work with Engineering teams consulting on and providing the best practices for implementations of CI/CD flows on the platforms in scope 
  • Manage source control including GIT, SVN, and Perforce
  • Partner with development teams to provide deployment automation best practice guidance
  • Administer & support the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket and Fisheye) both on premise and on cloud
  • Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions for infrastructure, applications and processes
  • Define architecture, specify infrastructure, deploy, configure, and manage data stores like MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc.
  • Administer access and identity management within the DevOps eco-system

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent education/directly applicable experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, TeamCity
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist building, designing and implementing high scale systems with automation and code.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of software version control and continuous deployment and integration.
  • 5+ years of experience working in and managing Linux based infrastructure
  • 5+ years of hands on experience developing and scripting for automation using languages such as Perl/Python/Groovy/JavaScript/Java/Bash
  • 8+ years of experience in at least one scripting language
  • 8+ years of experience with databases including MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB & Elasticsearch in the context of the tools in scope
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, CloudFormation or other tools
  • Experience automating cloud technologies and deploying applications
  • Hands-on experience working with containers such as Kubernetes, Docker and/or other serverless technology
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and delivery leveraging Agile practices

 

The following technical skills are considered a “plus”:

  • MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps
  • Experience with DevOps integration to leading APM and ITIL tools such as Dynatrace and ServiceNow
  • Redgate Database DevOps tools
  • Knowledge and experience with LAMP & MEAN stacks as well as Linux based private clouds
  • Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture concepts and best practices
  • Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing industry
