Description
The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for supervising and participating in shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing products, inventory, and fixed assets. They must maintain records for receiving and inventory control, and prepare reports related to test and evaluation programs. Additionally, they are responsible for enforcing safety protocols and reporting quality metrics to other management team members.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.
Job Responsibilities
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory control of Skyworks warehouse locations in the U.S.
- Manage 3rd party freight forwarder for on-time delivery.
- Preparation and analysis of various logistics reports, including carrier performance and freight spend analysis.
- Manage integrators like FedEx, DHL, and UPS
- Conduct 3rd party service providers quarterly business reviews
- Conduct ad-hoc and annual RFQs with the tools available in the company.
- Manage and present weekly logistics key performance metrics (KPIs)
Qualificiations
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years’ experience as shipper in any electronic industry.
- Global Logistics experience which includes exposure to the US, Mexico, Asia, and Europe region
- Experience in CTPAT, Maquiladora & ISO procedures.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint expertise
- Good Communication Skills – Verbal and written.
- Good interpersonal skill
- Team Player
- Basic Spanish communication skills are helpful
- Light travel required within the US and Asia.
- Knowledge of automated tools like Freight Bench Marking, Freight Bill audits, and Freight RFQ are preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $76,100 - $138,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
