Job Description

The Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) at Skyworks is responsible for the development of all core technologies, operations, and quality while driving strategic enhancements in the way that Skyworks leverages vertical integration capabilities and manufacturing investments. TMG encompasses research and development, central engineering, quality, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain with the mission of building manufacturability into new technologies from inception. The organization is spearheading leading-edge industrial automation, best practices and analytics into all aspects of the operation and addresses the crucial demand for timely and flawless introduction of new technologies. 

 

TMG’s Senior Director of Business Operations, Strategy and Analytics, reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President, Technology and Manufacturing, will lead the development effort of the organization’s global strategic business plans, annual operating plans, and will drive the execution of these plans across the global TMG organization and functions in partnership with TMG’s senior leadership team.  Managing data-driven strategies throughout the global organization across 7 countries positions this role to deliver a uniquely significant impact on the organization’s outcomes. We are looking for an excellent leader who can deliver on the most efficient, effective, data-driven ways to run a growth-oriented, industry-leading multinational organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Development of Strategic and Operating Plans for the Global TMG Organization
  • Perform Program Management Office (PMO) Functions, as Required; Track Action Items and Drive Execution of Strategic and Operational Initiatives Across all TMG Functions and Leadership Staff
  • Drive Data-Driven Strategies Across the Global Organization Ensuring Alignment with Operational Plans
  • Prepare Executive Level Material for Board Meetings, Investor Presentations, Executive Reviews, CEO and TMG staff meetings, Employee and Customer Meetings
  • Implement Advanced Analytics Data Models; Evaluate and Assess Plans and Projects
  • Deliver Continuous Improvement of Tools, Systems, Processes, and Automation
Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product development, program management, product management, product planning, NPI with experience driving seamless customer execution, or related role(s)
  • Experience driving global cross-organization initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to provide insight through a detailed review of operational results
  • Proven track record of using data and insights to drive process improvement
  • Excellent quantitative skills with proven ability to combine data-driven analytical rigor with strategic thinking to drive insights and influence business decisions
  • Experience in a global and multinational technology company
  • Strong cross-functional team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technology-related fields
  • Demonstrated P/L familiarity, or comparable business experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical aptitude and curiosity to develop deep domain expertise
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or other technology-related fields
  • MBA or MFin
