Job Description
Working closely with co-located tax and accounting teams, the Tax Director will manage Skyworks’ domestic tax activities ensuring accuracy of tax returns and minimizing the organization’s tax obligations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage and prepare the corporate income and franchise tax compliance including quarterly tax payments, extensions, tax notices, and other related tax reporting
• Manage and prepare the company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision computation and related issues for financial statement reporting in coordination with international taxes, including the necessary financial statement disclosures and footnotes
• Perform tax provision modeling and forecasting to assist CFO with investor relations activities
• Coordinate Federal and state tax controversy activities including examinations and audits with taxing authorities
• Identify and implement process improvement and efficiencies for the various tax workflows
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, especially as they relate to the tax function and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2022 (SOX) requirement
• Identify US Federal and state tax planning opportunities to optimize the overall tax profile and cash taxes and minimize domestic tax risks
• Assist with tax related matters of M&A, treasury, and other tax initiatives or ad hoc projects, on an as needed basis
• Perform tax research and keep up with pending legislation for tax benefits and risks; monitor operational decisions and company strategic direction and communicate known tax impact
• Work seamlessly with International Tax, Transfer Pricing and FP&A teams
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge and experience in US GAAP and tax accounting (ASC 740)
• CSC Corptax income tax compliance software knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex matters effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
• Exceptional analytical skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required
• Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA preferred
• 12+ years of corporate income tax experience and Big 4 public accounting
• Experience with an ERP accounting system a plus, Hyperion preferred

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $160,600 - $318,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
