Job Description: SAW/BAW NPI-Design Engineer - Timing Devices

This Engineer position will be for a core team member on a new timing device project for expanding Skyworks business. You will be engaged to optimize an acoustic resonator design parameter as well as its chip layout for bringing up our product performance to best-in-class. This position will also include a responsibility on ramping up an acoustic resonator into a high-volume manufacturing and include limited travel. You will be working closely with engineers across multiple functional teams (module design, process, test, manufacturing) and be able to get a strong end-to-end experience on acoustic technology product development.

Job Responsibilities

Acoustic resonator stack configuration analysis as well as resonator layout/package design simulation

Providing product development support which involves interfacing with Module design, Test Engineering, Quality Engineering and others

Statistical inline data analysis

Definition of process control methods and specifications

Creating and managing product documentation

Job Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Acoustic resonator structure/layout design and/or circuit design optimization experience for timing application. Or experience based on MEMS technology resonator could be relevant.

Possess a good understanding on timing device characterization and correlation between resonator and timing device performance.

Highly prefer a good communication skill to enable understanding a difficulty/priority on each of multiple functional teams and get them aligned on Product development.

Software Skills: Keysight ADS, Cadence, JMP-SAS, ANSYS Mechanical, HFSS




The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600$167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
