Position Summary
As part of Skyworks’ global operations, the wafer manufacturing group supports the high-volume production of our wafers to meet the growing demand for our solutions. This team is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and differentiated products utilizing GaAs HBT and pHEMT technologies, in addition to supporting other fast-emerging processes. Our team members work closely with all organizations within Skyworks to deliver superior performance in a fast-paced environment.  By joining our wafer manufacturing team, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the company’s growth and success. 

As the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Systems - MES, you'll be implementing/interfacing the PROMIS MES with the ERP, other enterprise systems and supporting the operations of the factory floors. The strategic outcome is to maintain a highly available MES system, modernize the MES and make information readily available for regulatory compliance, supply chain monitoring and improving manufacturing processes.  Responsibilities include leading a team of MES admins, managing the operational support, maintenance, incident management, and continuous improvement development activities for the manufacturing systems at the factory locations.

The position includes managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical and functional expertise. The manager will work with the IT, business leaders, consultants, and end users to resolve issues, implement solutions from concept through implementation, and provide ongoing support and training. 

Key Qualifications

Previous experience managing a MES in a 24x7 manufacturing environment. Strong functional knowledge and experience in best practices and business practices with MES and other related systems.


  • Strong functional knowledge and experience with an MES
  • Experience integrating an MES with other enterprise systems
  • Experience managing the relationships with consultants that provide technical support
  • Experience managing contractual agreements with vendors
  • Experience managing key business relationships with internal customers
  • Strong knowledge of how an MES is setup to work in factories to support production
  • Experience managing and leading a national and/or multi-national team of MES experts
  • Experience with IT project management, including implementation methodology and change control processes and documentation

Plus Qualifications

  • Experience with PROMIS
  • Experience with working in semiconductor factories
  • Experience leading multi-national teams

Primary Responsibility

  • Lead a team of multi-national MES experts
  • Prioritize incoming requests and incidents, assists in prioritizing key initiatives, and communicates system changes to stakeholders prior to deployment of new solutions
  • Continuously assess project roadblocks and constraints and provide feedback to senior management
  • Maintain process, data flows and integration documentation in area of responsibility
  • Manage and resolve conflicts with understanding and professionalism
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers, Process Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and operations teams
  • Integrate the MES with other enterprise systems and the ERP
  • Be a resource for setting up Product Data Management including Bills of Materials, Primary Procedures, Routings and Recipes
  • Maintain highly available systems
  • Modernize the MES systems and infrastructure
