Validation Engineer Co-op

A successful Validation Engineer Co-Op will possess proficiency in electronics measurement equipment as well as test software development. A strong understanding of circuit design fundamentals, test equipment operation and test equipment automation is critical for success. Experience in software development methodologies and C/C++ programming skills are a must. The candidate must demonstrate capability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team and adhere to project schedules. Experience with RF fundamentals and RF circuit testing is desired.

 Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with design engineers, validation engineers, and lab technicians to develop high volume high performance products for wireless mobile systems. The key focus is to create the linkage between design, characterization and production test. Work activities will include: lab testing and optimization of circuits, data analysis, presentation of measurement results. This position at Skyworks Solutions is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge and experience in highly integrated RF circuits while working as part of the product development team.

Relevant Skills:
•Electronic Testing Equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, etc.
•Microelectronic circuits
•Excellent communication, organization and documentation skills

Education requirements:
•Must be enrolled in BSEE program at university

•Must have a career interest in becoming an Engineer in RF/microwave area
•Coursework in the following areas: Circuits and Electronics, Semiconductor Devices, Analog/Mixed Signal, RF/Microwave Circuits and Systems (preferred), Electromagnetics (preferred)
