Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive financial leadership to support manufacturing operations and management. This role drives the integrity of financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls of overhead, inventory, fixed assets and capital investments, while partnering closely with operational leaders, cost center managers, business unit analysts, and corporate finance teams. The Finance Manager ensures accurate financial insight that enables strategic decision-making and long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

· Prepare timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports for management and planning purposes.

· Analyze budget vs. actual variances, profitability, and financial KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities, and cost optimization actions.

· Present internal financial reports and consolidate results for Corporate Management.

· Support analysis of production costs, raw materials, labor, overhead, and other operational KPIs.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

· Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for the Plant and business unit, including strategic plans, annual operating plans, and business initiatives.

· Update financial forecasts on a monthly basis and provide explanations for variances and trends.

· Develop financial models for scenario analysis and strategic business decisions.

Cost Management & Operations Support

· Manage and control operating and capital spending, staffing plans, and cost center adherence to budget guidelines.

· Oversee analysis of standard costs and corresponding production order variances and absorption.

· Ensure proper cost accounting for inventories, WIP, payroll, and operational expenses.

· Oversee tax payments, incentives, insurance expense, payroll, materials, spares, and supplies, services, travel expense administration, and related financial functions.

Process Improvement, Controls & Compliance

· Ensure adherence to corporate policies, internal controls, fiscal and legal regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.

· Support implementation and evaluation of new financial policies and procedures.

· Develop and document accounting and operational processes.

· Provide support to internal and external audits. Ensure a strong process.

· Oversee continuous improvement efforts on processes, analysis and reporting and automation deployments. Coordination with IT to achieve this.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Manage and develop a high performance finance team, enabling development, empowerment, growth and cross-training.

· Promote a collaborative and supportive culture. Communication with clarity, consistency and respect.

· Partner with manufacturing, operations, and corporate finance teams to ensure seamless communication, and alignment on challenges and opportunities. Promote continuous financial improvement.

· Collaborate in corporate initiatives, process standardization efforts, and project evaluation frameworks.

Capital & Asset Management

· CAPEX projects budget management ensuring alignment with business priorities and ROI.

· Maintain control and proper use of business assets.

· Depreciation analysis.

Required Experience and Skills

· 10+ years of financial operating management experience, preferably supporting manufacturing operations. (MBA in Finance preferred but not required)

· Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.

· Power BI, Copilot.

· Outstanding analytical skills and ability to link financial insight with business decisions.

· Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate financial information clearly at all organizational levels.

· Experience with SAP or Hyperion preferred.

· Exceptional results oriented, initiative, and leadership, proactive.

· Excellent project management abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
