Manufacturing/Supplier Quality Co-op

In this Co-Op opportunity at Skyworks, you will work on manufacturing quality and supplier quality to support the Newbury Park Team.  You will also have an opportunity to interact with members from our quality team in Woburn, MA.  Not only you will get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate technical knowledge and skills and gain valuable experience. Responsibilities

  • Working with QA Engineer to help address escapes to assembly/test and offshore bump/probe
  • Generating non-conforming material reports (NCMR)
  • Performing routine electrostatic discharge (ESD) verification in the cleanroom
  • Supporting process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA) reviews
  • Working on automation and AI projects

Required Experience and Skills

BS/MS student in computer science, electrical/electronic engineering, or data science, with an interest in the semiconductor industry.

Available for 6 months, Jan 2027 – June 2027

Technical skills in automation and AI (Ex. Python, Copilot, LLM, )

Working knowledge of Power BI

Proficiency in MS Office tools

Attention to detail and good communication skills

Commitment to working on site for up to six months during the period of January - June 2027

Desired Experience and Skills

 Background in solid-state physics preferred (p-n junctions, bipolar transistors, MOS/FET/HEMT transistors, and similar)

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
