Job Description

  •  

You will complete teardown and competitive analysis activities including:

  • Deconstruction analysis of MSB competitors’ modules via decapsulation, high-mag pictures, X-RAYs, 3D-X-RAYs, filter and die measurements, cross sections, SEM, etc.
  • Create a comparison summary between Skyworks and its competitors’ top layer circuit for every die, PCB, SMD, and each function inside the module.
  • Support the creation of a cost model estimate of our competitors’ products.
  • Communicate teardown results to U.S.-based product line management team
  • Ensure the initial teardown/benchmarking report is presented ~2 weeks after the release of every new flagship or mass tier phone of interest from Polo, Google, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
  • Maintain and update a user-friendly teardown database with reports linked to our customer’s phone models or by our competitor and product type.
  • Supports the Sr Mgr of Product Line Management with the maintenance of cost models for new products developed at MSB.
    • Update the SMD BOM in Hyperion (Finance Database) for all Polo part numbers every time there is a new delivery (DEV1, 2, EVT, etc.)
    • Audit the integrated module die and filter sizes to ensure a match to the current BOMs built in Mexicali.


Qualifications:

    • >5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Product/Test Engineering, Failure Analysis Engineering, or Quality
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • English language skills required to communicate technical work, analysis, and findings


Preferred Qualifications:

    • Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Familiar with Agile and SAP
    • Business or data analysis degree
