We are currently seeking talented and motivated students for 6-month Co-op positions during the Winter/Spring semesters. Skyworks is an innovator in high-performance analog semiconductors, powering the wireless networking revolution. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist engineers in developing hardware and software solutions for characterizing, validating, and verifying the design of RF front-end modules, filters, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), and power amplifiers (PAs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of automated test systems for RF product characterization and validation.
- Assisting with hardware integration, debugging, and evaluation of RF test setups.
- Developing and enhancing software tools for test automation, data collection, and analysis.
- Performing characterization and design verification testing of RF front-end modules and related components.
- Analyzing test data and generating reports to support engineering decisions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage, efficiency, and product quality.
- Documenting test procedures, results, and system improvements.
Co-op Opportunity
This 6-month Co-op position provides hands-on experience with state-of-the-art RF and microwave instrumentation, RF/DC transmission lines, RF components, and software development in a fast-paced and dynamic engineering environment. The position also offers valuable exposure to test automation, data analysis, and the latest RF mobile communication solutions.
Required Experience and Skills
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, analytical thinking, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Coursework in control systems, signals and systems, analog circuits, RF engineering, or related subjects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present technical concepts and findings.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced engineering setting.
- Able to work on-site up to 6 months during January - June 2027.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies is a plus.
- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar languages is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing individual assignments and deadlines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills with the ability to systematically identify root causes and resolve issues in systems, circuits, and devices.
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
