Analog and RF IC Designer



Responsible for the design and development of Analog and RFIC for mobile handset applications. The candidate will work within a group of Analog/RFIC design experts and be assigned to a multi-chip module product team with typically 3 to 5 design engineers. The candidate will interface with design management and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Must be experienced in analog IC or RFIC design at the transistor level.
  • Must have good understanding of general analog or RF integrated circuits (such as bandgap, op-amps, regulators, current mirrors, LNA, RF switches, etc.).
  • Must have basic understanding of device matching, layout techniques, ESD and latch up.
  • Must understand basic device physics, have the ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques, and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance of a device.
  • Requires experience in simulation tools, analog/RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills, be able to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills

The candidate should possess the following degree and years of related industrial experience:

  • BS + 2 years, MS, or PhD
  • The candidate should also have experience using Cadence IC design tools and hands-on experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment.
  • Experience in RF circuit design and test equipment is desirable.
