Equipment Engineer FDC (Fault Detection & Classification)

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of equipment utilized to support fault detection systems. Maintains hardware (computers, external sensors installed on manufacturing equipment, cabling) that is most appropriate and cost effective to support fault detection roadmap deployment and sustaining.
  • Maintains current records on hardware technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
  • Studies fault detection hardware and software performance and reliability.
  • Establishes programs and solutions to maximize efficiency / reliability of manufacturing equipment utilizing FDC.
  • Provides technical support to the EE and EES team. Works closely with automation engineer and PE automation counterpart.
  • Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for FDC related equipment.


 Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree.
  • Minimum of two years of direct experience on FDC systems
  • Understanding of FDC systems, direct experience using FG application.
  • Excellent interaction with tool vendors/FSE/applications support.         
  • Experienced on maintenance administration activities.
  • Basic knowledge of wafer manufacturing process.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements           
  • Collects and interprets data effectively.
  • Systematic approach towards problem solving.  
  • Effective time management: Adherence to schedule and prioritization.
  • Ownership. Minimal supervision required, stays on top assignments.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as 5s, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.         
  • Drive for skills continuous improvement
  • Team player, be able to team up with all departments and/or individuals. Able to guide/mentor other team members on best maintenance practices, toolset expertise, etc.
