Introduction
Skyworks Newbury Park Design Center is seeking a 2025 PA IC Design Summer/Fall Co-Op. If you are looking for a challenging and exciting career in the world of technology, then look no further. In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Working with experienced engineers to design/develop RFIC for Multi-chip modules
- Designing RF power amplifiers
- Running simulations using design tools such as Keysight ADS and Ansys HFSS
- Participating and presenting in design reviews
- Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
- Troubleshooting and resolving design or technical issues
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians
Required Skills and Experience
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
- Commitment to working on-site for up to 6 months
- Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
- Strong career interest in power amplifier design and RF/microwave engineering
- Familiar with amplifier modes of operation: Class A, AB, C, E, F and load modulation techniques such as Doherty PA design
- Familiar with DPD, and memory effects, and how those impact PA design
- Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
- Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Keysight ADS
- Hands-on experience in the lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments
- Understanding in HBT technology

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
