Principal Programmer / Software Developer / Analyst 2, Newbury Park, California




Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system




Responsible for design and development of factory automation applications for semiconductor fab. The software applications developed by such engineer control and monitor wafer processing and measurement through various equipment’s in the Fab. In addition, this job requires design and development of web applications using Java and Oracle technologies.


Design and develop software applications to automate semiconductor fab operations. Must be able to do the following independently with minimal supervision:


• Work with team members from various other groups to plan and execute projects
• Gather and understand factory automation requirements by interviewing users, observing existing procedures or finding best practices
• Analyze requirements and propose a solution
• Design and develop software applications
• Document and communicate requirements, design and test cases
• Test software applications in the fab
• Training end users on the newly developed system
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and come up with resolution
• Re-factor legacy applications




• BS or Equivalent Years of Experience

• +5 yrs Experience




  • Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL, JSP, JDBC, database design, Unix Shell scripts, SQL Server, TSQL, Java Fx
  • Understanding and experience wth REST, building and consuming RESTful services
  • Linux Systems Administration


• Will be familiar with web frameworks like Angular, Spring, Hibernate will be a plus

• Must be a team player and be able to work well with others

• Will have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Will have excellent time management skills and be able to work on multiple projects on committed schedule

• Must be able to adapt to change

• Will enjoy the challenges involved with learning new technologies and applying them to projects


In addition to the above skills, the ideal candidate should preferably have one or more of the following skills or experience with:


  • Visual Basic,, C# 
  • At least 2 years of factory automation & web development experience
  • Semiconductor industry and knowledge of SEMI equipment standards and equipment interface protocols (RS232, HSMS, SECS/GEM).
  • Skills on Promis, StationWorks, Bea MessageQ, Tibco will be a plus.
