Job Functions
The Process Shift Engineer will be responsible for sustaining the semiconductor production processes and equipment for our 24x7 manufacturing operations.  This position provides the opportunity to learn plasma etch, wet chemical processing, semiconductor device physics, process integration, and process control methodology.
In this role, you will be working a night shift schedule that is aligned with the "A2" shift: 12 hours/day, alternating between 3 and 4 days a week.
You will support daily production in the dry etch and wet etch areas to ensure on-time-delivery of quality product.   This involves sustaining production tools and processes, including lot disposition and tool re-quals, responding to SPC out of control events, identifying problems, and taking corrective action.
You will work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. 
A hands-on approach and close collaboration with Production, Equipment Engineering, Training, and Quality Assurance are needed to ensure the process is under control at all times.


You will also provide help to Process Engineers and the Advanced Technology group for process development and improvement:
1.    Process characterization and optimization using DOE methods
2.    Continuous improvement of Cp/Cpk on all critical process steps
3.    Qualification of new tools for Production, including documentation, training and certification of Production Operators / Technicians
4.    Support of process development projects.

Requirements
•    BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science
•    0-2 years experience in a technical position
•    Course work in semiconductor wafer processing and internships are a plus
•    The preferred candidate will have strong communication skills, excel at critical thinking, work well with others, have a strong work ethic, and have the ability to multi-task effectively.
