Job Description
As a production scheduler you will create and maintain production schedules to ensure that all company goals and objectives are achieved by established deadlines. Productions schedulers must have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules. They must be able to multitask, comprehend and generate reports, provide quick responses and solutions to problems, seek to improve processes, and help fulfill company expectations. As a production scheduler, candidates can expect to play a major role in helping the company reach its internal and external customer objectives.
Production Scheduler Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain production schedules with great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Create procedures and parts in MRP and WIP tracking systems.
• Work with different personnel within department to monitor inventory levels, assess supply, vendors, and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
• Support shipping of wafers/die to next level assembly to meet production schedules.
• Establish scheduling priorities by collaborate between production and engineering teams.
• Support multi-site processing and shipment of wafers between fabs.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Use software to generate reports and schedules.
• Ensure that company KPI’s and critical milestones are met.
• Identify problems, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
• Seek continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
• A desire to promote the success of the organization.
• Follows company policies and procedures while adhering to safety and quality.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma / Associates Degree preferred
• A minimum of three years of production scheduling experience
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems required, SAP is a big plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have very strong analytical skills, experience creating complex ad hoc analyses, and data cleansing experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to organize, compile, and present data in written and/or verbal report format.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $52,200 - $91,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
