Job Description

This person will be working on key projects that would harmonize systems and procedures for the Clean Launch program and Statistical Process Control in Woburn and Newbury Park facilities. The person will also be involved in the deployment of the eCoA project for incoming material control.

The candidate will be based in either Woburn, MA or Newbury Park, CA locations and will require some domestic travel. Primary responsibilities are:

  1. Understand current systems/procedures for similarities and differences between sites, and identify and close gaps.
  2. Convene meetings with all stakeholders between the two facilities, publish meeting notes and actions.
  3. Create or make changes to corporate procedures to harmonize processes as much as possible.
  4. Implement protocols for eCoA deployment for key suppliers and materials and train team members during roll out.

Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS student in Engineering or Science with interest in semiconductor industry. Background in solid state physics preferred (p-n junctions, bipolar transistors, MOS/FET/HEMT transistors, and similar)
  2. Available for 6 months, July 2023 – December 2023
  3. Proficiency in MS Office tools
  4. Attention to detail and good communication skills

 

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
