Job Description

As a Staff Industrial Engineer, you will be supporting the management of several business enterprise solutions, accounting for current ones utilized within wafer fabrication plus any additional that might acquire and implement. Individual will support the implementation, development, enhancement, and usage of our Manufacturing Business Systems.  In this role, you will also be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights by designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Individual is expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, creating data models, and ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

Note: This position can be based in Newbury Park, CA or Woburn, MA.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop visually stunning and informative Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights.

  • Work with various, often large, data sources, including relational databases, data warehouses, APIs, and flat files, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Develop, implement, and manage manufacturing & planning business systems.

  • Day-to-day operational systems analysis and validation, troubleshooting system failures, analyzing planning / capacity results, formulates and suggests system enhancements.

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of Advanced Planning & Scheduling System in Wafer Fabs.

  • Support the end-user community by providing research, analysis, and problem resolution to team members.

  • Using strong analytical, consultative and communication skills, gather and document business requirements.

  • Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that both satisfy the business user and conform to the technical architecture.

  • Trains users in conversion and implementation of new systems.

  • Actively demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement focused on end user productivity.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s in industrial engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent years of experience with 8 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or Industrial/System Engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and developing data visualizations using Power BI, showcasing the ability to translate complex data into compelling visual stories.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, transformation, and modeling within Power BI.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and VBA programming skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Self-starter with strong self-management.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases
  • Experience managing software deployment projects
  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling systems

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600$210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
