Description

Skyworks Solutions Technology and Manufacturing group (TMG) is looking for a contractor with expertise using Cadence Schematic software OrCad Capture CIS w/CIP, Allegro PCB editor and associated tools.

Responsibilities

  • Clean-up and expansion of current part and symbol libraries.
  • Maintain database/library of EVB footprint and symbols library utilizing Orcad CIP
  • Create new Allegro footprints and Orcad schematic symbols.
  • Creation of technology files to define standard PCB construction definitions.
  • Create and standardize PCB/ATE cross sections across business units.
  • Clean-up and expansion of design rules for PCB layout.
  • Create and maintain Allegro DFA to control component to component spacing.
  • Interact and align with PCB vendor for Skyworks PCB needs vs vendor capabilities.
  • Interact and align with Skyworks Test Engineering group for PCB mechanical needs.
  • Review boards ready for fabrication for manufacturability.
  • Review Vendor DRC/DFM reports and provide direct feedback.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of experience, with 12 years of applicable experience. 
  • Expert in Cadence Design Tools for schematic capture and layout.
  • Experience with PCB layout and design of RF, analog, and mixed signal PCBs or using Cadence Allegro version 22.X or higher.  Must be proficient with all aspects of Cadence Allegro tool, including use of constraint manager and manufacturing functions.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards related to PCB design.
  • Solid design experience with various PCB stack ups, including use of blind/buried via, micro vias, specialty RF dielectric materials, and trace width/spacing.
  • In-depth knowledge of RF PCB layout techniques, including impedance control and EMI design considerations.
  • Prior history with Cadence Orcad CIP is a plus utilizing a database for component selection.
  • Working knowledge of JEDEC / IPC design, fabrication, and assembly specifications.
  • Experience creating assembly documentation and fabrication deliverables per detailed company and industry standards.
  • Experience with Agile document control systems.
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project completion.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in both local and remote work environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
