Senior Etch Manager

Position Summary:Etch manager needed to support GaAs fab in 24x7 production operation environment.  Scope of work involve managing etch engineering and technician team.  Etch area includes many clean room tools involving wet clean, wet etch, dry etch, descum, resist strip and metal lift-off areas.  Etch manager is expected to improve FDC and SPC control for tighter control of equipment and process parameters.  Manager expected to drive improvement in AOI defects, number of held lots and disposition of held lots in timely manner. 


Primary Responsibility:

  • Manage etch engineering team.
  • Sustain and improve etch process
  • Oversee improvement of FDC and SPC control
  • Periodic review of metrology, AOI and electrical test results
  • Reduction of held lots and timely disposition of held lots


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in science or engineering degree required
  • Master’s or higher degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of fab experience required
  • Etch engineering team management experience preferred
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with other teams
  • Be able to quickly troubleshoot and find cause of wafer problems
  • Ability to good exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action needed to resolve lot issues
  • Be able to work in fast paced production environment

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $134,200$266,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
