Description

 

As part of Skyworks’ global operations, the Yield group supports the high-volume production of our wafers to meet the growing demand for our solutions. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and differentiated products utilizing GaAs HBT and pHEMT technologies, in addition to supporting other fast-emerging processes.  Our team members work closely with all organizations within Skyworks to deliver superior performance in a fast-paced environment.  By joining our wafer manufacturing team, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the company’s growth and success. 
 

Primary Responsibilities:
Reviews and troubleshoots root cause of issues and takes corrective action. Dispositions lots in a timely manner. Runs experiments and analyzes the data for determining root cause or for continuous process improvement. Reviews incoming epi data, review PCM, probe and assembly data, perform electrical to epi correlation, optimize epi for optimum yields.  Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Extracts data from various databases and performs data analysis using JMP, Exensio, Galaxy, or Excel. Coordinates activities for containment and disposition of lots for a yield event. Generates yield reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. 

 

Job Requirements:
•    A BS or MS in EE, or equivalent technical degree 
•    Good verbal and written communication skills 
•    Data analysis skills using Excel, JMP, Galaxy or other relevant software packages 
•    Familiarity with semiconductor devices and circuits
•    Ability to exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action needed to resolve lot issues
•    Be able to work in fast paced production environment

 

Nice to haves:
•    Minimum 4 years equivalent experience in the field of semiconductor manufacturing or engineering 
•    Knowledge of failure analysis (SEM, FIB, thermal imaging, etc.) desired
•    Programming skills: C++, C, Python, Machine Learning, etc

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600$167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
