Description

As a Sr. Product Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and managing activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. You will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.  You will be working as a core team member of the product/test engineering team to bring Skyworks' RF integrated solutions such as PAMiD, MMMBPA and FEMiD, into high volume manufacturing. You will be working closely with engineers across multiple functional teams and need to simultaneously handle multiple development projects. This position includes responsibility for both development and sustaining activities and includes limited travel.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate new component development solutions through conception, release to production and end of life.
  • Review and support product specifications and process flows to understand and improve methods and activities in manufacturing to eliminate inefficiencies and improve throughput.
  • Perform statistical data and test limit analysis from final test (automated test equipment) and wafer probe.
  • Develop production test specifications.
  • Create and manage product documentation.
  • Provide product development support which involves interfacing with Design, Test Engineering, Quality Engineering and others.
  • Drive cost reduction activities such as second sources qualification, yield enhancement, test time reduction, etc.

Required Experience and Skills

    BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ experience, or 
•    MS in Electrical Engineering with 3 years’ experience, or 
•    PhD and 0 years’ experience.
•    Must possess strong data analysis skills and the ability to debug production and development.
•    Strong technical background and deep knowledge of engineering principle and RF parameters.
•    Ability to drive good design practice and product development methodology.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships easily and collaborate effectively.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•    Advanced analytical skills to analyze problems and technical situations leading to optimal solutions.
•    Ability to problem-solve thoughtfully and logically while incorporating diverse perspectives.
•    Experience managing customer engagement and technical reviews.
•    Ability to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction, and work as part of a team.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Desired Experience and Skills
•    Demonstrated experience in the development of commercial RF semiconductor products.
•    Experience desired with the following: analog component design and packaging for use in high-reliability applications; high-reliability manufacturing, addressing quality and productivity issues; process development and optimization.
•    Experience and knowledge using industrial statistical tools such as JMP, Exensio, etc.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600$167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
