Job Description

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
  • Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
  • Studies equipment performance and reliability. Defines priorities to focus on and drives toolset constant performance improvement.
  • Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
  • Defines preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.

 

Qualifications:

  • Electrical or mechanical Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of direct relevant experience
  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing equipment (theory of operation, tool install requirements, window of operation, tool performance diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting, tool performance optimization)
  • Experience on equipment operating in high vacuum is a plus.
  • Flexibility / able to learn quickly new toolset/assignment          
  • Excellent interaction with tool vendors/FSE/repair houses          
  • Experienced on maintenance administration activities.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements 9001 and 14000.        
  • Collects and interprets data effectively.
  • Systematic approach towards problem solving  
  • Effective time management: Adherence to schedule and prioritization
  • Ownership. Minimal supervision required, stays on top assignments.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as 5s, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.         
  • Drive for skills continuous improvement
  • Team player, be able to team up with all departments and/or individuals. Able to guide/mentor other team members on best maintenance practices, toolset expertise, etc.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $108,500$206,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
