Description

Skyworks Solutions Technology and Manufacturing group (TMG) is looking for a passionate and skilled staff engineer to collaborate with a group of talented engineers in the design of high-performance test solutions for Skyworks innovative analog, RF, and mixed signal products.

This team utilizes both system and circuit level engineering to realize high performance ATE solutions that balance a wide range of potentially conflicting performance requirements.  These solutions, when combined with industry leading test platforms and streamlined test program software, support the shipment of over 20 million parts per day supporting worldwide high-speed wireless data consumers.

As a Staff Test Engineer, you will interface across multiple engineering teams including product design, test engineering, product engineering, program management, customer quality engineering to find the best overall solution.  This role requires a background in product design and/or development of RF, Analog, or Mixed Signal products with a desire to apply that knowledge to produce best in class ultra-high volume test hardware solutions for highly integrated wireless products
 
Responsibilities
•    System and circuit level simulations of solution performance capabilities.
•    Continuous improvement in ATE measurement capabilities and accuracy.
•    Feasibility support for new test requests.
•    Continuous improvement in high performance ATE hardware to support customer requirements. 
•    Continuous improvement in system and circuit-level design and simulation techniques.
•    Negotiation of ATE solution performance trade-offs to provide the best overall solution for the total set of test requirements.
•    Support and guidance for hardware floor planning and layout best practices

Required Experience and Skills
•    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of product development, technology development and/or high-volume production assembly and test engineering (MS with 6 years of experience or PhD with 3 years of experience acceptable).
•    Background of RF, analog or mixed signal designs.
•    Background in RF, analog or mixed signal system analysis techniques to guide detailed design.
•    Background in RF design software such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) and/or Ansys HFSS.
•    Familiarity with measurement equipment for RF, Digital and Mixed Signal performance.
•    Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent leadership and communication skills.
•    Strong time management skills that enable on-time project completion.
•    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
•    Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600$210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
