General responsibility of the Yield Excellence Department Section Manager.

  • Supervise 5 to 15 engineers in defect metrology manufacturing sustaining, drive continuous process improvement, develop and enhance the skills of the local work force.
  • Your team will own a process loop and you will have responsibilities for your loop meeting targets, daily monitor and identification, containment and fix of excursion material and process tools in meeting Yield, Performance, Reliability and Cost/Productivity Goals.

You will lead your team to partner with Integration, Process, Equipment and Manufacturing engineering in identify and driving process improvements to meet  Performance, Reliability, Defect, Cost,  and Productivity goals.

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with engineering in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    1) Identifying potential yield-limiting defect sources; defining an aggressive defect reduction roadmap for the program and related modules; owning the results.
    2) Using statistical process control principles to sustain production line health and prevent defect induced excursion events; working with module engineers to identify and eliminate process and station defect source; designing and executing experiments; interpreting and extracting insightful results from complex data sets to implement solutions in a timely manner.
    3) Installing, qualifying and sustaining inline inspection and reviewing equipment to expand capability for inline defect detection.
    4) Collaborating effectively with integration and process organization partners to identify technology gaps and deficiencies, evaluate and qualify mitigation and continuous improvement solutions.
